Background

CARRER – Circuit Euroregional d’Arts del Carrer

Project linked to street arts led by Le Cratère – Scène Nationale d’Alès, in Languedoc-Roussillon. The partnership involved other organisations from Languedoc-Roussillon (L’Atelline, Communauté de Communes du Lodévois et Larzac, Les Elvis Platinés, RudeBoyCrew Festival d’Olt, Eurek’art Labelrue), Midi-Pyrénées (La Cellule), Catalonia (Festival Fira de Tàrrega) and the Balearic Islands (Companyia AuMents). The project sought to build a network of street arts with co-productions, dissemination support, training time and residences. The Euroregion contributed EUR 40,000.


ETAC – Espai Transfronterer d’Art Contemporani

Network of contemporary art centres with the Bòlit. Centre d’Art Contemporani, Girona, Catalonia, leading the project. The other partners were the Museu de l’Empordà in Figueres, the LAIT – Laboratoire artistique international du Tarn (Albi), La Panacée – Centre de culture contemporaine (Mairie de Montpellier) and Addaya – Centre d’Art Contemporani Alaró, island of Majorca. The purpose of the project was to create a cross-border space for contemporary art that could establish permanent cooperation between the centres and award three-month grants for artists’ residences. The Euroregion contributed €20,000.


Memòria fílmica Pirineus Mediterrània

Project based on film heritage led by the Cinemathèque de Toulouse, in partnership with the Institut Jean Vigo (Languedoc-Roussillon), the Filmoteca de Catalunya and the Arxius del Sol i de la Imatge de Mallorca. The aim was to digitise the films in the archives, making it possible to highlight the culture of the various territories and their common identity. The Euroregion contributed €28,000.


Els molins, una altra mirada

A route around the mills, led by the Consell Insular de l’Illa Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands. The project aimed to create a route to discover the most emblematic mills in the Euroregion, which can become a tourist and cultural product; at the same time, it would be the starting point for a network of cooperation between organisations involved in recovering this type of heritage. The other partners in the project were the Fundació El Solà (Catalonia) and the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée (Languedoc-Roussillon) and Grands Causses (Midi-Pyrénées) regional nature parks. The Euroregion contributed €18,000.
