Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean: mobility assistance to jointly supervised theses

Thursday, October 29, 2015

The Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean (Catalonia, Balearic Islands, Midi-Pyrénées and Languedoc-Roussillon) published a Call for mobility assistance to jointly supervised theses. The Call aims at providing support to PhD students that wish to prepare their theses in two higher education institutions of the Euroregion, a French one and a Spanish one, under the responsibility of two supervisors, and obtain both French and Spanish PhD qualifications following a single thesis defence.

The financial support is intended to cover costs of mobility that joint supervision requires (travel and accommodation).

The call is open to all fields of knowledge, but special attention will be given to applications in the areas of eHealth, sustainable management of water resources, agrifood and tourism. The amount of each grant can range from 8,000 EUR and 11,000 EUR, depending on the distance between the cities involved and a bonus granted to research projects incorporating a company. The total amount allocated to this call was 45,000 EUR. The application forms can be submitted until 20 November 2015.
