Projects supported in 2012


In the light of the fact that less and less young people are attracted to scientific fields, the project is to promote scientific, technical and industrial culture via the development of Serious Games which incites young people to get interested in certain major industrial sectors. The project leader, the Centre Universitaire de Formation et de Recherche Jean-François Champollion (MP), partners, with Aerospace Valley (MP), the firm KTM Advance –Albi (MP), the Ligue de l’Enseignement 31 (MP), l’Université Montpellier 2 (LR), le Centre Européen de Recherches Préhistoriques de Tautavel (LR) and the Musée de la Science et de la Technique de Catalogne.

The Euroregion provided a grant of 40 000 euros to this 12 month long project.



Scena Centro

Scena Centro aims to create a platform for the creation and promotion of performing arts targeting youth audiences. The goal is to develop links between artistic teams, professional networks, cultural centers and major events specialized in reaching young audiences and to encourage the creation of theatre, music, dance, and puppetry, digital and visual art projects aimed at young audiences. The partnership is comprised of: Phonomatic (MP), project leader, Le BAO (LR), Sa Xerxa (IB) and Xarxa d’Espectacle Infantil i Juvenil de Catalunya (CAT).

The Euroregion provided a 70 000 euro grant for this 12 month long project. The same project received a euroregional grant of 50 000 euros in 2011.

The purpose of the project is to develop the Pyrénées network of cultural heritage interpretation centers which are seeking to expand their partnership and amplify their actions, in particular via the organization of, Rencontres Eurorégionales du Patrimoine Pyrénéen. The initial partnership was comprised of : l’Ecomuseé des Vallées d’Aneu (CAT), the project leader, la Maison Pyrénéenne du Pastoralisme d’Azet (MP), the Maison des Sources de Mauléon-Barousse (MP), the Musée Larrey de Beaudéan (MP), the Communauté de Communes du Canton d'Oust (MP) and the Musée de la Chapellerie (LR).

The Euroregion provided a 30 000 euro grant for this 12 month long project.




This project aims to set up a system of artistic support and to prolong the system set up in 2010 thanks to another euroregional grant. The project had made it possible to set up the creation of a stable network through which artists from the three regions were able to perform concerts and benefit from support. Now the purpose is to create a permanent euroregional musical circuit and artistic support for emerging groups, and increase the notoriety of regional groups beyond their borders. The partnership includes: Xarxa de Cases de la Música Popular de Catalunya (CAT), project leader, Avant-Mardi (MP) and the Méridionale des Spectacles (LR).

The Euroregion provided a grant of 30 000 € for this 24 month project.

Visites littéraires

The project aims to present the literary works of Catalan authors via a smartphone and tablet applications bringing into contact, via geolocation, literature and the landscape. The partnership is comprised of: Espais Escrits, a network for Catalan literary works, the project leader, la Maison-Musée Llorenç Villalonga (IB), the Mairie d'Ille-sur-Têt (LR) and the Mairie de Mequinensa (Aragon).

The Euroregion provided a grant of 10 000 € to this 18 month project.



The project aims to develop an online digital platform for artistic co-creation. This platform shall be a virtual meeting point to help bring together multi-disciplinary teams which shall generate short films to be presented at the Maremostra competition, a movie festival with a maritime theme in Palma de Majorca. The partnership is comprised of : Cluster audiovisuel des Iles Baléares – CLAB, the project leader, the Fondation i2Cat (CAT) and Kawenga (LR).
