Projects supported in 2010

  AA++ Accompagnement Artistique

 

The AA++ Accompagnement Artistique project (music sector) focuses on contemporary music and is driven by three non-profits: Avant-Mardi (MP), which leads the project, Cases de la Musica (CAT) and La Méridionale (LR).

The aim of the project is to provide artistic support to musicians on their way to becoming professional and to encourage artistic and economic exchanges within the Euroregion. Hence, The project fosters the emergence of different artists, helps develop networks between actors in the music sector and democratizes contemporary music (festivals, concerts….)

The project lasted from 2011 to 2012. Within the framework of the 2010 call for cultural projects, the Euroregion provided a 30 000 euro grant.

Poetry without Borders

 

LThe Poetry without Borders project includes four partners : Barna Sants (CAT), project head, Sèm e serem (MP), COMDT (MP) et CIMP (LR). The project focuses on poetry and music.

he aim of this project was to publish a a collection of Occitan-Catalan poetry: a musical voyage across centuries of a shared poetic history. The latter was a means to promote awareness of the Occitan-Catalan literary tradition and to create a sense of belonging to a cultural, social and linguistic community. Finally, it was designed to show the usefulness of the Catalan and Occitan languages for interregional comprehension.

The Euroregion provided a grant of 11 900€ to this project.

 

 

Pyrénées : Art and Écology in the XXI st century

 

Pyrénées : Art and Écology in the XXI st century roject focused on the fields of contemporary art and ecology. It included three organizations: Caza d’Oro (MP), which headed the project, Casa d’Art i Natura (CAT) and the Les Isards (LR).

The aim of the project was to increase public awareness about global warming via artistic expression. In addition, it provided an arena in which to examine the sense and function of art and its impact on our understanding of nature and society in the 21st century.

The project lasted from 2010 to 2012. The Euroregion provided a 40 000 euro grant for the project.

Corpus Media # 4

 

The Corpus Media # 4 project was led by three non-profit organizations and a foundation : K Danse (MP), which headed the project, the company, Yann Lheureux / Etre en scène (LR), the company Erre que Erre (CAT) and the museum Es Baluard (IB). This project focused on contemporary dance and the digital arts.

The aim of the project was to create a euroregional artistic platform featuring multiple artistic projects involving choreography, visual and musical works, shows, performances and artistic workshops.

The Euroregion provided 20 000€ to finance the project which lasted from 2010 to 2011.

Labo Investigation

 

The Labo Investigation project focuses on contemporary dance. It was led by three organizations: La Zampa (MP), which heads the project, N’Naranja (CAT) and Moebius (LR).

The aim of the project was to create a platform for exchange and sharing experiences between Montpellier/Toulouse/Barcelona for artists seeking to share their experiences with young people and future artists.

he Euroregion contributed 24 600€ to the project which lasted from 2010 to 2011

Lo Festenal

 

The Lo Festenal is a pluri-disciplinary trade show. It is organized by three entities: Le Chèvrefeuille (MP), which is the project leader (today, Convivencia), Fusic (CAT), the Conseil Général 66 (LR) and Tres Serveis Culturals (IB).

his project aims to create the first rotating euroregional market for live arts in the Pyrénées-Méditerranée territory. It is a trade show bringing together institutions, professionals and artists from four participating regions.

The project took place in 2010 and 2011 and the Euroregion provided a grant of 50 000€.

Mediterra

 

The Mediterra project aims to promote contemporary ceramics. The different entities participating in this project Mediterra are Museu del Cantir (CAT), which lead the project, the tourism office of Martres Tolosane (MP), l’office culturel – Information tourisme de Saint Quentin la Poterie (LR), the cultural department of the town hall of Marratxi (IB) and the cultural department of the town hall of Muel (AR).

The aim of this project is to create a network for cultural development and the development of contemporary art of the cities of ceramics of the Pyrénées-Méditerranée.euroregion.

This project took place in 2011 and 2012 and the Euroregion provided a grant of 35 000 euros.

 

 

Art Contemporani A l’Hospital

 

The project, Art Contemporani a l’Hospital, includes three participating institutions : Es Baluard Museu d’Art modern i contemporani (IB), at the head of the project, BBB centre régional d’initiatives pour l’art contemporain (MP) and the centre d’art la Panera (CAT).

The goal of the project was to create a network of investigation and work between the cultural centers and hospitals to foster the access of people in hospitals to contemporary art.

The project was completed between 2011 and 2012. The Euroregion provided a grant of 16 000 euros.

 

 

Journées de Rencontres Autour de la Mélodie française                                   

 

The project, Journées de Rencontres Autour de la Mélodie française, is a music focused project initiated by six organizations : Toulouse mélodie française (MP), the project leader, the Conservatoire de rayonnement régional de Toulouse (MP), le festival Déodat de Séverac (MP), the conservatori municipal de musica de BCN (CAT), the Conservatoire rayonnement régional de Perpignan (LR) and Aspec la Grande Deltheillerie (LR).

The aim of the project is to publish a collection of compositions of four cycles of melodies based on prose or poetic texts by Joseph Deleteil by four composers.

The project was set up in 2010 and 2011. The Euroregion provided a grant of 12 500 euros.
